Battle of the Creek, always proves to be an array of emotions for the young and the old of the club. The day started well with the 2 Red teams taking home convincing wins. Seeing alot of new faces within the ranks of our 17's and senior squads, the girls eagerly took to the court and tried to carry on the flow of wins from the junior teams. Beaconsfield however proved to be too strong across the court on the day, preventing any of these teams getting any wins on the board last week. As we retreat back to Edwin Flack Reserve this week for our first home game of the season against Cranbourne, all these teams will be keen to regain their fighting spirit and show the rest of the league just what they're really capable of.
We thank Garrleigh Trophies for their donation of the new trophies and BOC medals for the day, they were greatly received by all within both clubs.
This week is the first home game at Edwin Flack Reserve and we look forward to getting the egg and bacons rolls on the BBQ, our new seating having bums sit on them and a new fresh feeling within the ranks form 13's all the way through to A Grade.
A huge congratulations to Renee Gill on being named A Grade captain and gathering over 70 years of girls taking court in the senior leadership group.
