Round 16

August 8, 2016

Last week we made our way to Pakenham, for what always seems to be a great clash at both the junior and senior levels. With the home & away just weeks away from being over, all of our teams gave their games a great crack today in order to try and finish off the season on a high. A special mention to our A grade side who got their 2nd win of the season in a very hard contested match.

It was awesome the see the girls play a much more consistent 4 quarter game this week and take it to their opposition. The full court defensive pressure provided us with plenty of turnovers and showed how strong of a team we can be when we all come together.

Final Score 21-10, BOC: Monique Mitchell

13white played a strong first half, being only 1 goal down at the half time break. The third quarter was a struggle with Pakenham firing up and Berwick losing concentration. In the fourth quarter the team woke up and were back in form, winning this quarter by a goal. Unfortunately, Berwick couldn't come back from that third quarter deficit.

Final Score 24-14, BOC: Abbey Richardson

A great contest by the girls today! We started really well and worked really hard one on one. Unfortunately a few quick goals by Pakky made it hard for us to come back. Overall, a great game by all the girls.

Final Score 22-26, BOC: Julia Batchelor

Based on the first time we played Pakenham we knew coming into this game it was going to be tough! But to the girls credit they truly put everything in and should be so proud of what they achieved!

Final Score 24-34, BOC: Charlie Yawney

A strong first quarter and great effort by the girls on Saturday. You’re improvement every week has been impressive and your determination to do better than the last time we played each team is very admirable. Keep playing for each other and having fun girls.

Final Score 8-25, BOC: Zara Snelling

It was sure to be a hotly contested match with both sides sitting on equal points on the ladder and fighting for 3rd position. Berwick's first half was flat and the score line showed it. But the girls turned the table around to bounce back and claim the much needed win.

Final Score 31-26, Rochet Kitchens BOC: Shaye Smith

After a slow start & a level 1st quarter B grade kicked into another gear & a 19-7 2nd quarter set them up for the reminder of the game! Jen & Larri killed it in defence, a big thanks to Nic G & Ellen for helping out!

Final Score 43-29, Andrew Tang BOC: Jenn Westmoreland

Focusing on completion, we started strong, composed ourselves, and worked the ball through court well. Holding a 4-goal lead from the first 1/4, we continued to be strong in ourselves. Making small changes on court saw the play change dynamically. Wining by 5, we had to work hard for every play, our opposition playing smart they too were looking for a win.

Final Score 45-40, BOC: Emma Clarke & Madelina K
