Round 14

July 26, 2016

When you come up to verse Narre Warren, you know its never going to be an easy feat and that there will always be strong competition across both the junior and senior grades. This round 14 clash definitely didn’t disappoint with great passages of play and performances by teams being displayed out on the court.

U13 White

13white enjoyed a good start to the game scoring 3 goals to Narre's 8. Despite some moments of great play, unfortunately Narre took off.

Final Score 5-32, BOC: Ainsley Fothergill

U13 Red

The girls this week got off to a great start with a strong and level first quarter. We seemed to lapse in concentration for the 2nd and then just could’t fight our way back into the match. It is great to see how far the girls have come compared to when we played these teams the first time around, and just how far they have grown as a team.

Final Score 3-19, BOC: Monique Mitchell

U15 White

One of our main focuses for the past couple of weeks has been to ensure that we keep up the pressure and maintain our composure throughout the whole game, something that we have been struggling with lately. This week the girls showed that they were ready to fight, coming out strong in the first quarter and being able to finally keep a strong lead throughout the whole game! With everything we have been working on in the past couple of weeks just seeming to finally 'click', all the girls played a great game. A special mention to Hannah Mollard for playing the best game she has played all year down in WA! Her feeding into the ring, drives into the pocket and spacial awareness was on point. It is great to see how far players have come throughout the year and we can't wait to see what the next few weeks have in store!

Final Score 31-14, BOC: Hannah Mollard

U15 Red

A competitive game with three really consistent quarters! Unfortunately the second quarter got away from us and we were unable to bring the score back! It was great to see the girls not giving up and lifting their spirits throughout the second half of the game!

Final Score 17-32, BOC: Lauren Castricum

U17 Red

Now that we are playing everyone the second time around, it is great to see the girls’ improvement out on court. Their hard work is slowly playing off and they keep pushing themselves harder every week.

Final Score 23-64, BOC: Georgia Venn

What a game! The team came out strong and fighting from the start in what was an excellent display of team-work, courage and commitment from all the girls. After many hard weeks at training it was fantastic to see everything we've been working on fall into place all the way down the court. A great team effort that all players and supporters should be proud of. We will continue to build on it for the remainder of the season.

Final Score 39-34, BOC: Itanya Amataga

A great confident team game yesterday by the girls. Coming out strong in the first quarter really set the tone for the rest of the match. The whole team worked tirelessly on the hard, full court, one on one defence, and it paid off with the girls getting plenty of turnovers and finding the way through to convert them.

Final Score 45-32, Andrew Tang BOC: Larissa Alman
